In 2001, I visited the Seattle Washington area and stayed with Kay Shirley. We contacted a few Shirley descendants in the area and invited them to Kay's home for an informal gathering. We talked about our Shirley ancestors of course. This also gave me a chance to renew acquaintances with several I had met before.

My thanks to Kay for being a gracious hostess. She ordered in food and we had a blast chatting with one another.
